Readiness for entering the education sector: A plan worth Rs. 100 crores
It has been announced by Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli Multi-Speciality Hospital and Research Center Chairman Suryakant Nagamarapalli that plans are underway to start schools and colleges along with various vocational courses in the medical and nursing fields, and in the days to come, education in the district will also be provided as a service to the public.
In Akkamahadevi auditorium, during the annual general meeting for the year 2022-2023 Chairman annouced the above infomation. They mentioned the intention to start various schools and colleges worth 100 crores in the next 24 months. The permission to start the BSc Nursing College has already been obtained. The process of obtaining permission for other schools and colleges is in progress. In the coming days, Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli University will be established.

State-of-the-art medical facilities and equipment have been arranged. At minimal cost, the hospital is serving the people of the district with the best healthcare possible. With the cooperation of the governing body, further development of the hospital is in progress,” stated Suryakant Nagamarapalli.
“I, the son of Dr. Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli, who was a stalwart in the cooperative sector, am guided by Sri Umakanth Nagamarapalli, who currently serves as the Chairman of DCC Bank. Under his leadership and the advice of the hospital’s management board and cooperation from the cooperative sector, we have been able to efficiently run the hospital. Our efforts in the care of mothers and newborns have been well-received by everyone,” said Suryakanth Nagamarapalli.
“We have successfully provided treatment for newborns with congenital heart defects. We have saved the lives of critically ill newborns with low birth weight, who were born intertwined. Our expert medical team at the hospital has not only rescued these infants through successful medical intervention but also provided them with a new ease on life. These are all achievements that we can take great pride in”.
“The Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka scheme and Star Health Insurance, along with Yashaswini Scheme, continue to provide healthcare to patients. This year, the hospital has benefited with a revenue of Rs. 8.00 lakhs. Since the inception of the hospital till date, a total of over 2,40,000 lakhs has been spent on providing treatment to patients,” shared the hospital authorities.
“Dr. Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli had a dream of establishing a medical college along with a hospital with 350 beds in the district of Bidar. To fulfill this dream, he had acquired approximately 70 acres and 18 guntas of land near Lalbagh for an estimated cost of around 4 crores. Serious efforts are underway to commence the medical college,” they mentioned.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, our hospital provided treatment to COVID-infected patients. The COVID Care Center was initiated to offer meals, snacks, accommodation, medication, and medical care for just one rupee. The hospital has been engaged in safeguarding people’s health 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” they stated.
“Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a 1.5 Tesla 16-channel MRI, CT Scan 16 slices, Alta Sound Color Doppler, Digital X-ray, free ambulance service, and fully loaded ventilators in the ambulance. We have a team of radiation specialists, MD doctors, pediatricians, dermatologists, ENT specialists, gastroenterologists, laparoscopic specialists, and general physicians available,” they further added.
Newborn infants receive specialized care and treatment with a weight of less than 200 grams from our skilled medical professionals. In the allocation of treatment costs, shareholders receive a 10% to 20% rebate, and senior citizens are provided with a 10% rebate. Medical services are available to patients in urban areas 24/7.
For patients who need special and immediate treatment and must travel to other states, we provide fully equipped ventilated ambulances at minimal costs. We extend our gratitude to the cooperative banks’ managing directors, cooperative department deputy directors, and assistant commissioners who have supported us. We also thank the district health and family welfare officers, the Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka Yojane’s district coordinators, and the urban Panchayat secretaries.
The land for the establishment of the hospital, with a total area of 1.05 acres, has been generously donated to us by Shri Uttaradhi math Shankarapur Basavanagudi. We are grateful to Shri Umakanth Nagamarpalli, the chairman of DCC Bank, and Apex Bank for providing us with a mini-ambulance. The Laparoscopy facility is also a recent addition that has been provided as a donation.
